WalletHub has conducted a new survey regarding holiday shopping habits – and surprisingly, 61% of respondents claimed that they would enjoy the holidays more if they did not have to exchange gifts! Maybe it’s time to talk with friends and relatives about our traditions surrounding gift-giving, especially in current times with prices seemingly skyrocketing. After all, many (42%) find coming up with gift ideas to be the most stressful part of the holiday shopping season. Why not do away with it altogether?

Of course, 81% of respondents agreed that budgeting helps out tremendously when the holidays are approaching, yet still 33% plan to take out lines of credit to afford the holidays this year. Of those who plan to open a new credit card, 57% are planning to pay it off immediately in the new year.

About a third of people (31%) are planning to outsource their gift shopping to an AI robot – after that, all you’ll have to worry about is wrapping!
