As we prepare for Thanksgiving this year, it’s not just about the turkey! We’re focusing on what takes up most of the table – the side dishes. Campbell’s has conducted their annual State of the Sides survey to determine the number one side dish for Thanksgiving in every state.
Campbell’s surveyed 5,000 Americans, with nearly 50% of respondents reporting that they’d be happy with no turkey at all, just a plate full of sides! Over half of those surveyed (63%) said they even prefer sides to the entrée.
For the fourth year in a row, stuffing has won as the number one preferred side dish in America – that includes in our home state of Virginia! Mac and cheese is on the rise, as the favorite side dish to Gen Z, with 70% saying it should be a staple at every holiday!
